Mi Querido Perro Bo Está en el Cielo Ahora
This week I don't have the heart to write much of a newsletter, because I am saddened by the loss of a very dear friend - my dog Bo. No va a ser una Navidad tan feliz sin Bo...but we know in our hearts that he has gone to a better place. One request I have this week is that if any of you know of a good Spanish blog for learning or teaching - please submit it to our new Spanish Blogger Directory. "Bo Bo" era nuestro gran amigo aquí en la tierra por más de 12 años. Casí jamás ladraba, porque no le gustaba hacer mucho ruído. Tampoco le gustaba ensuciarse - muy extraño por un perro! Cuando yo estaba aquí en esta casa, él se quedaba a mi lado en mi oficina todo el día, "trabajando de asistente..." No hacía mucho trabajo, pero así es la vida de un perro. Ojalá que todos un día puedan tener la suerte de conocer a un animal tan tierno y simpático como Bo Bo. ¡Te extrañaremos!

I really am sorry to hear about the passing of your dog Bo. I lost my dog (Ruby) 7 years ago and she is still a big part of my life. I get emotional every time I think of her. Anyway, rest asure that Bo will still be a part of your life.

I also had a dog named Bo and of all the dogs I've had or fostered, he was special to me. I lost him about 3 years ago and to this day, when I think of him I tear up. But we go on and maybe soon, maybe not so soon, we find another to love. I think there's a reason we outlive our pets, it gives us the chance to give our love to another one, then another. And we benefit from loving each and every one of them.

Thank you both for your comments - it's heart warming to read how much other people love their pets, and makes me feel a bit more normal for being overwhelmed by the loss of Bo. Boy he was a special dog!
