¡El Verano!

Hola Amigos - I wanted to drop a line to let you know that I have been busy with things here at home that have kept me from writing the newsletter this last couple of weeks (still half written :) - but I haven't forgotten about all my faithful readers, and both the newsletter and the e-learning system are still on track, just at a little slower pace. Summer here in Alaska brings lots of tourists, and that means doing more entertaining and less work! Además...también la gente se pone un poco más festivo que en el invierno, asi que parece que todo Anchorage se vuelve más activo durante esta época.

So if you can read that you are doing ok! Bottom line is that while we are busy making enjoying the summer and blackening our salmon, you should keep tuned to the blog for both a fresh newsletter and a glimpse at the new e-learning system. I hope some of you are enjoying some fun in the sun as well!

One other note is that I sure appreciate when people let me know about typos they find on the blog or any of the websites - so if you find one, please don't be shy about letting me know. Editing is not a strong skill of mine - and if you see a mistake, most likely it's a typo - so by letting me know you are helping me out. A big Muchas gracias to all who have already taken the time to email me these kinds of notes.

I just wanted to let you know how helpful this site is. I am a technology teacher at a middle school in South Carolina. We had many Spanish speaking students this year; so I am learning Spanish. I also hope to stay in Spain for a month or two next summer. One site I went on had penpals. Perhaps a Spanish speaking teacher would like to speak to an English speaking teacher for this summer only. Thank you again for this site. I'm sure it takes a lot of time. Your site will help me learn Spanish by the time school starts again in August. Thank you very much. I would like to purchase something, but I'm not sure what will help me most. Though I can speak and read Spanish slightly, I really have trouble understanding it when it is spoken by my Spanish students. They speak so fast it seems though I know they really don't. My Spanish students enjoyed helping me learn their language. I am not very good at it yet, but I have a strong desire to learn Spanish.
