Lesson of the Week: Spanish Days, Months & Seasons - Días, Meses, y EstacionesOne interesting change in Spanish is that their week begins with lunes or Monday, not Sunday. They also do not capitalize months or days of the week. Another difference is that when referring to a day of the week, it is common to use the words for "the", or articles. This article changes based on whether the day is masculine or feminine, and becomes plural when referring to "every" or "all." For example: "ella va a trabajar el sábado" = she is going to work Saturday or "yo voy al gimnasio todos los lunes" = I go to the gym every Monday.
