| Welcome
to Vol. 39 of the Spanish Online Newsletter! Your weekly Spanish
learning with mp3s, as well as links to Spanish travel spots and
more. Since learning verbs is one of the keys to obtaining fluency
in Spanish, this week we take a look at some irregular verb patterns.
Los verbos iregulares no son tan difíciles!
(irregular verbs aren't so difficult!) They just take a little studying
and then plenty of practice.
There are a lot of new
members to the newsletter - ¡bienvenidos!
If any of you have Spanish learning or teaching experiences that
might make for a good article, please think about sharing.
I also get a lot of emails about catalogues - so here are links
to editions #1
& #2
of our "The Spanish Spot" catalogue/magazine.
Algunos
Verbos Iregulares - Some Irregular Verbs
While
irregular verbs may not follow the normal patterns we find in
the present, preterite
past , imperfect
past, etc. - that doesn't mean there are no patterns at all!
In fact once you begin using more and more Spanish verbs, you'll
find that even many irregular verbs do follow some patterns like
the ones you'll find below. Notice that the verbs below are irregular
for every person except "nosotros".

Travel Spot of the Week

Caracas, Venezuela
Skyscrapers
and cathedrals nestled in between hills just N. of the Andes
mountain range...Caracas has taken a lot of hits
in recent years, but remains one of the most dramatic
& vibrant cities in Latin America. The French built their
colorful subway, which is quite modern and clean. Seems like
everything is called "bolívar" after liberator
Simón Bolívar - the money, streets, monuments,
etc. Caracas can be the starting point for visiting everything
from Caribbean beaches to mountains and jungles. For some
history and other practical info about Caracas, click
here. Recent travel warnings from the U.S. State Dept
can be found here.
